•  A confidential, neutral test site: New technologies and products don’t always perform as expected.  At RMOTC, partners have the freedom to test on their own schedules, without outside scrutiny.  RMOTC provides the private, supportive environment researchers desire to work through any unanticipated results.

•  Risk minimization:  Risk is inherent to field testing any new technology, tool, or process.  RMOTC shares that risk with the testing partner by assuming the risk of damage to wells and field facilities during the test as well as loss of production.  Partners bear the risk of damage to, or loss of, tools and equipment being tested.

• Technology transfer:  RMOTC provides pertinent information on new technology, field performance of the technology, and the possible benefit from implementation to the industry at large through its technology transfer program.  We keep the industry appraised of new and improved equipment and systems development, and provide valuable visibility for our testing partners.
