Jim States was born and raised in Wyoming and has more than 30 years of experience as an Environmental Scientist. His professional experience has been mostly in advising industry and governmental agencies on how best to deal with potential environmental impacts from proposed energy developments throughout the western United States including Alaska. He has worked extensively as a project, program and contract manager for U.S. Department of Energy Pacific Northwest and Idaho National Engineering Laboratories, and for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers as well as several private environmental consulting firms.
